Vidal M Treviño Magnet School will be holding their art and journalism exhibits at LCA on Wednesday, May 25th from 6-8pm.
The Lilia G Martinez Gallery will exhibit Gil Rocha's students' paintings and Alfonso Santos's students' sculptures. Both Rocha and Santos have been leading their students throughout their time at VMT towards a more unique outlook on art.
The Laredo Area Community Foundation Gallery will exhibit the 20th Annual Photography Exhibition. Mark Webber’s Journalism and Online Media students have been learning the concepts of capturing and reporting moments through photography.
The Tapestry, a student creative magazine published by the school each year, will unveil its 24th edition of the magazine in the Mezzanine of the Laredo Center for the Arts. It includes writings and picture submitted by the student. The unveiling also includes a reading of the work printed in this year’s edition.
The event is free and open to the public.
